Mission/Vision Statement

The Perquimans County LICC will develop and distribute county specific public awareness and child find materials; support interagency partnerships and information sharing; promoting parent and family involvement in all community effects that involve children with special needs and their families.

 
Who We Are

Local Interagency Coordinating Councils (LICCs) are community-based advisory groups. Local service providers and parents work together to make sure that all families know about early intervention services.

 

Agency Representation

Representation includes, but is not limited to, the following agencies:

·      Perquimans County Department of Social Services

·      Perquimans County Health Department

·      Children’s Developmental Services Agency

·      Chowan/Perquimans Smart Start

·      Albemarle Hopeline

·      Child Care Community Representatives (local daycares)

·      NC Pre-K

·      Head Start

·      PRIDE·      

·      Perquimans County Recreation Department

·      Chowan/Perquimans Smart Start·      

·      Albemarle Regional Health Services

·      Early Learning Sensory Support Program

·      Visual Impairments- NCDPI

 

Meetings

The general membership of the Perquimans County Schools LICC shall meet quarterly on the second Thursday of February, May, August, and November from 10:00am to 11:30am at a designated location, unless otherwise notified. Special Meetings may be called by the Chairperson or Co-Chair, provided notice of the meeting is given five (5) working days in advance of the meeting. Meetings during the 2021-2022 school year include the following:

·      November 10, 2021

·      February 10, 2022

·      May 12, 2022

·      August 11, 2022
